Some inspiration

So what has been keeping me from blogging for the last few weeks?! Total exhaustion! I can't reveal everything that has been going on behind the scenes - YET (and NO - I'M NOT PREGNANT....so can we just move on from that constant assumption!)But the good news is that most of the hard stuff is behind me now.

We are in the middle of our busiest period at work right now, and I have just finished that "Boy Book" I was working on during my freelance hours. (I've had to say no to the next one at this stage as there's just too much going on at the moment!)

So despite all of the hard yards of late, I have managed to find some time for some small pleasures from the wonderful world of books!

First of all I have just discovered this wonderful book series.

It's hard to ignore as it seems to dominate every book store at the moment! I am onto the third one at this stage and it's been wonderful to devour every page like I used to when I was still at school. That's what reading is all about! Thrilling over every word - not forcing myself to finish something because I "should".

Then there's this beautiful indulgence. As soon as I held this stunning book in my hands, I HAD to have it!

Cover design: Jan von Holleben - Dreams of Flying.

It's a book about designing for children and covers areas from playground design, to toys, books and rooms. It's a wonderful resource, complete with websites and blog contacts. There are also some familiar talents in this collection, and here's a bit of a teaser for you:

Nume - Design for children

Atelier Mijnes

Herzensart - I particularly love their paper craft!

Patric Sandri

There's a mix of things on this page but many can be found here at Coq en Pate (those clever French again!)

Salon de Elfi Berlin - by Verena Schaetzlein.

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Hi! You sound like you are flat out - I have been so busy too and haven't been blogging for ages, but had to read your recent posts, they are always great to read, you are very inspiring.
I Love the look of Play All Day! I'll have to get a copy of that one! Thank you for sharing that. I also read your last post on reading - writing & I too loved the Life Of PI, have you read The Time Travelers Wife? by Audrey Niffennegger, it is so good, my favorite. I am about to start the Book Thief, I have heard it is good...
Thanks for the book tips! I have finished the Twilight series and am looking for my next read! I will have to look those up!
