I'm on a roll!

Now I've started there's no stopping me! I finished the crocodile applique but the t-shirt is already too small, so I've taken lots of pics as it may be her one and only wear for this one!

Luckily this alerted me to the fact that the green t-shirt would also be too small, so I had to find a different base for the rabbit applique. I think it's come up pretty well on the stripes actually!

All this sewing has inspired me to get a bit more creative for her first birthday THIS COMING SUNDAY! (How quickly did that first year go?!) I've had some trouble finding a cute little party dress that's not an outrageous price, and then I remembered this little hand-me-down dress that I had put aside.

The funny thing is that she currently only has one pair of shoes and they are red, so I've taken up the challenge to find a way to bring some red into this dress. It's resulted in an unusual colour combination that I might not have thought to put together but I'm really liking it!

Now that is clever! I am often put off the whole 'dressing up' thing because my girls don't have a collection of shoes that fit at any one time (I have realised that silver shoes are a great general colour though). Love the idea of adding red to make it work. Will definitely think that way in future! Thanks!

Now you get it =- you start a good size or two ahead, and she'll catch up so fast, your head will swim. Clever girl, dropping the fun elements onto the dress and pulling the red shoes into the mix. Stripes and rabbits, so much energy, so much fun for that little soul who wears it. You are having TOO MUCH FUN. Not really - it's just the right amount.

Wow - I am in LOVE with the bunny - well done and it looks fab on the stripy shirt. Looking forward to seeing what the dress becomes.
